Juan has been in the cheerleading and gymnastics industry for 34 years and is USASF certified for levels 1-5. He grew up in Midland, TX where he competed in boy’s gymnastics and power tumbling from 1980 to 2000. He competed for Cheer Athletics Wildcats.
Juan has coached level 10 girl’s gymnastics for over 12 years and took two girls to worlds in power tumbling in 1996. He began coaching competitive cheerleading in 1990 at Cheer Athletics in Plano, TX winning 6 NCA titles. He moved to Idaho in April of 2000 as the director of Idaho Cheer University where they won 7 national titles and 3 grand champion titles. Juan also coached Bishop Kelly High School from 2003-2006.
Juan founded Xtreme Pulse in 2004 with a focus on empowering athletes to improve through focusing on hard work, dedication and the importance of technique and team work. Xtreme Pulse has grown to be a predominant program in the Northwest with many athletes going on to cheer at the collegiate level and professional cheerleading careers.
Juan has coached teams to over 30 titles in senior and junior divisions from 1994-2017.
